The rise of corruption in Indonesia: whose fault?

Several mass media circulating in Indonesia in the past few days have been preoccupied with the news of the arrest of several Regional Heads involved in corruption, especially in the capture operations. Catching operations according to the author becomes an interesting topic of news because the one who is a suspect should be a pigur that must be an example and a model for the community that he dreams of.

What and who is wrong?
Of course we as citizens are very disappointed to see, hear this. Back to ourselves, who is responsible if something like this happens in our area? the voter community makes it a regional leader or because the time for nominating costs a lot so it needs to return the capital that has come out of the candidate.

Let's see together from the initial process at home that we did with children. Our children or myself feel that educating children to be honest is very difficult. However, with the religious beliefs adopted it can solve the problem with an open and transparent attitude to his wife and children. The key to honesty grows and is born from a family, father and mother will become role models for children to act and act. What is seen will be a real example in their lives so that they will be carried away in association with their peers.

In each province / district / city in all regions of Indonesia we can see the establishment of a modern trade center, where the newly literate people will be enthusiastic to visit it. The problem in these modern shopping centers is the high prices that may be difficult to reach for the weak economic community but not for those who are economically strong (prosperous). This phenomenon should be balanced with high employment so that people do not act against the law in obtaining income or income in order to support their families. The role of the regional government here is very necessary, for example by disbursing household industry assistance funds in insufficient capital. If this can be realized of course the attitude of corruption in the community can be suppressed because they already have their own business and income.

Many government programs have indeed been disbursed, examples of life skills programs for the poor. But instead of assistance, many people who received aid instead earned the money as a down payment in purchasing motorcycles instead of for their children to make ends meet.

The above happened because the government itself was not aggressive enough in socializing the use of these funds. Recipient communities arbitrarily use the money for purposes other than the initial goal of improving their own standard of living.

Let us together as good citizens to remind each other and give enlightenment to the public about the importance of knowledge. If not reminded by stakeholders, it will certainly have a negative impact on the people so that the culture of corruption cannot be lost from this beloved Indonesian land.

This paper is an author's anxiety about the problem of corruption that is difficult to eradicate in Indonesia, especially in the province of Bengkulu. How many officials have gone to prison just because they were wrong in using their power. Corruption will make the people miserable, development is hampered, the economy is disrupted, education is only used as an object, there are no extraordinary results in educating the nation's children. Finally we become a nation that is left behind or underdeveloped by other nations due to this corruption.
